Global Influences
The internet has come a very long way since it was started. People take the internet for granted expecting it to load instantly, but it used to be much slower. It would take a long time to load anything and people were not using it for fun. The internet ran slow and looked bad. The number of internet users in 1996 was around 36 million around the world. That number has gone up staggeringly to almost two billion. Almost everyone has internet. It is something that is common across the world. There are only a few small countries, mostly in Africa, that do not have internet. The internet is now the easiest source for finding information. It went from unpopular to a common household appliance in less than a decade. In an average American household internet is a necessity. Everyone's got to have it.
